Staffing Professionals Speak on Online Career Profiles

In a recent article that appeared on mywesttexas.com, the website of the Midland Reporter-Telegram, a daily newspaper in Texas, several staffing agency professionals discuss the importance of the image job candidates portray on social media.

The article mainly focuses on LinkedIn, a social networking site for professionals.

One of the points discussed in the article is the language a candidate uses on his or her online career profile must be professional and accurate.

“Language is really key,” Fran Hawke, manager at Staffing Resources, says in the article.

She says her firm will look at every detail, including the e-mail contact listed on a profile. The candidate is more likely to get an interview if he or she includes a professional email address.
