The primary worry that keeps CIOs up at night is data security, according to The CIO Insomnia Project, an initiative of technology staffing firm Robert Half Technology. This worry came in at 24 percent, followed by hardware and/or operating systems upgrades at 13 percent, according to the study.
“CIOs are under escalating pressure to innovate while at the same time protecting their companies against rising security threats and managing an increasing amount of information,” said John Reed, executive director of Robert Half Technology. “These challenges make it especially important for technology executives to stay connected with their peers and share best practices.”
The research project is based on telephone interviews with more than 1,400 U.S. CIOs. Whether your staffing firm provides IT professionals or has internal IT functions, The CIO Insomnia Project has more interesting findings you can apply to your business. To view more on the project, click here.
