Make the Customer Happy

Dan Rodriguez, CEO and co-founder of IT staffing firm Veredus Corp. had a hard time getting his business off the ground. He launched the business in January 2011; nine months later, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the economy slowed.

So Rodriguez and the company decided to take a different approach, helping people with anything that could help them get work, including resume writing, interview coaching and networking. When the economy picked up, people remembered Veredus and came back.

“We had people who were very grateful that we had helped them out and now they wanted to help us out because we were a new company,” Rodriguez says in a Gulf Coast Business Review article.
