Just this week, William Lubker, a former employee at medical staffing company Medstaff Locums, pleaded guilty to mail fraud and aggravated identity theft associated with a fraud scheme against his former employer, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.
Lubker admitted to defrauding the Chicago-based medical staffing company of more than $400,000 by “placing” phantom employees with the company, according to court documents. He told the company he placed employees when he had not and took payments for himself, according to the paper.
