Agile, a staffing firm in the Atlanta region, recently hosted the ninth annual Agile on the Green, a charity golf tournament that benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure – Greater Atlanta Affiliate. The event raised more than $20,000 in net proceeds with funds helping to provide affordable mammograms throughout metro Atlanta, according to the Alpharetta-Milton Patch.
Agile’s chief executive officer, Tricia Dempsey, created the event in 2004 following her own successful fight against stage-three breast cancer, the article reports. It has donated more $200,000 in the battle against breast cancer.
“We have so much fun every year,” Dempsey says in the article. “Our sponsors and VIPs really enjoy getting out of the office to network and raise money for a great cause, and we couldn’t do it without them.”
